How to Resize a PDF Page Online — Change Page Size Free

Need to change a PDF from Letter to A4, or adjust oversized pages before printing? Here's how to resize PDF pages in your browser without any software.

1

Method 1 — Print to PDF with Custom Page Size

Open your PDF in Chrome or Firefox. Press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on Mac). In the Print dialog, click More Settings and set the Paper Size to your desired format (A4, Letter, A3, etc.). Select Save as PDF and click Save.

Tip: Choose "Fit to Page" or "Scale" in the print settings to ensure content is not cut off when changing between page sizes.

2

Method 2 — Convert and Re-export via PDF Studio

Upload your PDF to pdfeditor.onl/pdf-studio. If you need to adjust the content layout before resizing, use the editing tools. Then use Print to PDF from the browser with your target page dimensions.

Why Page Size Matters

A4 (210×297 mm) is the standard in Europe and most of the world. Letter (8.5×11 in) is standard in North America. Mismatched page sizes cause printing issues, cropped content, and inconsistent document appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will resizing cut off content at the edges?

It depends on the scale difference. Use the "Fit to Page" or "Scale to fit" option in the print dialog to ensure all content remains within the new page boundaries.

Can I resize just one page in a multi-page PDF?

The browser print method resizes all pages uniformly. To resize individual pages differently, split the PDF first, resize each part, then merge them back.

Is this free?

Yes — using browser Print to PDF is completely free and built into every modern browser.
