How to Compare a PDF Page by Page Online — Free

For long documents, a page-by-page comparison lets you quickly identify which specific pages have changes without reviewing the entire document manually.

1

Step 1 — Upload and Run the Comparison

Go to pdfeditor.onl/compare-pdf. Upload File A (original) and File B (revised). Click Compare. The tool analyses every page pair simultaneously.

2

Step 2 — Review the Page Summary Strip

After comparison, a page navigation strip appears at the top. Each page shows its change percentage. Pages with orange or red badges have detected differences.

Tip: Click any page badge in the strip to jump directly to that page's comparison view. Sort your review from the most-changed pages down for efficiency.

3

Step 3 — Inspect Each Changed Page

For each changed page, use Diff view to see pixel-level highlights in red. Use Side by Side to read both versions simultaneously. Use Overlay to drag between the two versions.

4

Step 4 — Export the Page-by-Page Report

Click Download All Pages as PDF to generate a complete page-by-page diff report. Each page shows differences highlighted in red.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I skip identical pages and only review changed ones?

Yes. The page strip shows the change percentage for each page. Click only the pages with non-zero change percentages.

What if the two PDFs have different page counts?

Pages that exist in one PDF but not the other are shown as 100% changed. The summary shows total pages in each file.

Is there a limit on document length?

No artificial limit. Very long documents process well — each page is analysed independently.
