How to Add Page Numbers to a PDF Without Adobe — Free

Adding page numbers to a PDF does not require Adobe. A free browser tool works perfectly — with more format options than Adobe's basic page numbering.

1

Open pdfeditor.onl/page-numbers

Navigate to the page numbers tool and upload your PDF.

2

Configure Page Number Settings

Choose position: bottom center (most common), bottom right, top right, or any corner. Choose format: Arabic (1, 2, 3), Roman (I, II, III), or alpha (a, b, c). Set starting number. Set font size and color.

Tip: For formal reports and academic papers: bottom center, 11pt, starting at 1. For legal documents: bottom right in the format "Page 1 of 15".

3

Apply and Download

Click Apply Page Numbers. Download the numbered PDF.
